Tactics and Video Analysis

Hockey’s newest statistics, otherwise known as hockey analytics have come a long way since their inception in the mid-2000’s, and they are ever growing. One of the biggest tests when it comes to newer, more granular statistics is how can we use them to shape not only our understanding of what’s happening on the ice, but our game plan for what occurs on the ice. By combining them with tactics and video analysis you can use them to optimize your decisions.

Rachel Doerrie

Rachel has quietly been gaining notoriety in hockey’s statistics community. The work she’s put out on her blog is excellent and has earned her well deserved praise. As the video coach for the OHL’s Sudbury Wolves, she spends a fair amount of time watching hockey. The results is an engaging, bright mind with an aptitude for tactics.
