OTPP: 2017 NHL Trade Deadline Edition

Its an extra long edition of On The Power Play as the boys go through all the big news coming out of the 2017 NHL Trade Deadline.

The biggest move of the deadline was made by the Washington Capitals, who acquired defenceman Kevin Shattenkirk. Does this put the Capitals over the top and can they now win the Stanley Cup?

Out west, the Minnesota Wild were the big movers. They picked up Martin Hanzal from the Arizona Coyotes. Is this enough for the Wild to come out of the Western Conference. Can they get past the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Los Angeles Kings picked up Ben Bishop and Jarome Iginla. Does this push them into the playoffs.

Marc Bergevin was the busiest general manager of the NHL trade deadline.  What do his moves mean for the Montreal Canadiens and is it enough to win the Atlantic Division.

The Atlantic was the busiest division at the deadline.  What do recent moves mean for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Ottawa Senators, Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers, and Boston Bruins?

The Vancouver Canucks picked up a pair of solid youngsters in Johnathan Dahlen and Nikolay Goldobin for Alex Burrows and Jannick Hansen respectively.  Why is this deadline so different from a year ago.

All that and more in this edition of On the Power Play.
