Evander Kane

In Kane, the Sharks get an extremely talented skater and gifted goal scorer. This season he scored 20 goals and 20 assists for 40 points in 61 games played. He also added 57 minutes in penalties. His possession numbers were 50.9 percent Corsi and a relative Corsi of 5.4. Those totals are up compared to last season, where he scored 28 goals, 15 assists for 43 points. Over his nine-year NHL career, Kane has played for the Atlanta Thrashers, Winnipeg Jets, and Buffalo Sabres. He has put up 177 goals and 163 assists for 340 career points in 557 career games. He was originally drafted in the 1st round, 4th overall of the 2009 NHL draft by the Atlanta Thrashers.

Daniel O’Regan

O’Regan, 24, had four assists in 19 games this season, and one goal and four assists in 24 career games. The Boston University product is reunited with college teammate Jack Eichel.

What This Means for the Future

Evander Kane is an extremely talented skater with a goal scoring gift. No matter where he goes he will be a top 6 player. His goal totals are much higher than his assist numbers. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but he could do with some assists to round him a little better. He has the potential to make a mark on any team he plays for.
