YWT #9- Philadelphia Flyers Recent Success

Dave Hakstol’s tenure in Philadelphia has had its fair share of controversy. The hire itself was questionable, given the fact that Hakstol had never manned an NHL bench. Hakstol has also warranted some questioning from the Philadelphia fan base, especially regarding some of his personnel choices. Last season saw Shayne Gostisbehere and Travis Konecny spending stretches in the press box as healthy scratches. This year, Travis Sanheim suffered the same fate, leading to his eventual demotion to Lehigh Valley.

Hakstol’s reign is not without its bright spots, though. The coach’s decision to move star forward Claude Giroux to the left wing, and the subsequent promotion of Sean Couturier to first line center, has paid off in spades, with both players having career years.

You Would Think discussed the tenure of Dave Hakstol in depth on their debut episode, but the subject is touched upon again here, amidst breaking news (at time of recording), some Eagles talk, a call out, and Seven or Six Seconds.
