Hansen has also added seven goals and 12 assists for 19 points in 70 career Stanley Cup Playoff games. He was originally drafted in the 9th round, 287th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Vancouver Canucks.

Last season, he scored two goals and 12 assists for 14 points in 46 games. He also added 15 minutes in penalties. His possession numbers were 50.7 percent Corsi-For with a relative Corsi of +0.6. Hansen is coming off a four year, $10 million contract with an AAV of $2.5 million per year. He signed this deal back in September 2013 with the Canucks before being traded to San Jose at the 2017 NHL Trade Deadline.

What Hansen Brings To The Table

Hansen is an 11-year veteran who will bring his experience to CSKA. Over the last few seasons, Hansen hasn’t thrown his body around as much as he did earlier in his career. Earlier this year Hansen missed close to two weeks to due to Visa issues. Now, with limited interest this summer from NHL clubs, the Danish forward will look to extend his hockey career overseas.
