The Vegas Golden Knights announced that center Cody Glass is sidelined for the remainder of the season with a knee injury.

Cody Glass Injured

Glass was injured after an awkward hit from St. Louis Blues defensemen Jay Bouwmeester during a game in January.

This season, Glass has scored five goals and seven assists, as a result, he has twelve points to go along with six minutes in penalties. His possession numbers were 51.2 percent Corsi and a relative Corsi of -1.7.

Over his one year NHL career, Glass has only played for the Vegas Golden Knights. He has five goals and seven assists for 12 career points in 39 career games. The Vegas Golden Knights drafted Glass in the first round, sixth overall in the 2017 NHL entry draft.

What This Means for the Future

Vegas has the number one spot in the pacific division. They are looking good to make the postseason. Luckily it looks like management was looking ahead at the Trade Deadline with the acquisition of journeymen centere Nick Cousins able to step in. Head Coach Peter Deboer stated that Glass will be healthy and ready to play by training camp in September.

The Vegas Golden Knights are rushing towards the playoffs despite an injury bug that has recently hit them. On top of the injury to Glass, the Knights also saw Mark Stone fall to injury in February. The team will have to fight through the injuries, though. They currently sit tied for first in the Pacific Division, alongside the Edmonton Oilers. They have a record of 37-24-8, leaving them with 82 points on the year.
